A large group of shareholders gathered Monday, April 24, at the Holiday Inn-Select in Hickory for Bank of Granite Corporation's annual meeting. It was the first shareholder meeting presided over by Charles M. Snipes, CEO and newly named chairman of the board. The board and employees gave special recognition to John A. Forlines, Jr., chairman emeritus, who retired in January after nearly 52 years of service to Bank of Granite.
