What kind of browser do I need?
Granite Online Banking requires that your browser process cookies and java script. 128 bit SSL encryption is also required.

 

What happens if I do not Exit the system?
By default Granite Online Banking has a 10 minute time out feature, so if the system is not used for 10 minutes, then the user will be inactive and will have to log in again.

 

What happens if I forget my PIN and get locked out?
You are allowed 3 PIN attempts, and on the 3rd attempt; if invalid, you will be locked out of the system. If you do get locked out or if you forget your PIN, please send an e-mail to support@bankofgranite.com or contact your local Bank of Granite office.

 

How late in the evening can I make transfers?
The cut-off time for current day transfers is 7:00 p.m. Any transfers after the cut-off time will be posted on the next business day.

 

What is a Cookie?
As added security, our software requires that your browser accept cookies. A "cookie" is a small piece of information which a web server can store on your web browser. This is useful for having your browser remember some specific information which the web server can later retrieve. All cookies have expiration dates. Our cookies are deleted when you quit your browser. Cookies cannot be used to obtain data from your hard drive, get your e-mail address, or steal sensitive or personal information about you. Also, each cookie can only be read by the server that set it, so strange servers cannot view or steal the information in a cookie that you previously accepted. Note also that computer viruses are not passed through the setting or use of cookies.

 

How do I get Access?
You must complete the Granite Online Banking Application and sign the Granite Online Banking and Bill Payment Service Agreement which will signify your agreement to the terms contained within. Once completed, return the forms via mail or in person to any local office. You will then receive your account access information in the mail.

If you cannot print the application and agreement, please e-mail us with your mailing address, and we will be happy to send one to you. You may also pick up copies at your local Bank of Granite office.
