Young Savers Account

Open a Young Savers Account Today! (This is typically referred to as 'Minor' Savings.) Start your child on a lifetime of saving with as little as $5.00. Bank of Granite offers its Young Savers account to those 17 years of age and younger. It's a traditional savings plan offering an easy way for the younger set to see their savings grow. Get your child off to a rock-solid foundation of saving first, spending responsibly, and banking with friends.

And it's easy! Here's how it works:

• Parent or guardian may stop by any Bank of Granite office
• Bringing your child is optional but recommended to make it a memorable experience for him or her (plus, we just love seeing our younger customers!)
• Be prepared to provide basic personal information about yourself and your child (Social Security numbers, mailing address, street address, phone numbers, date of birth, etc.)
• Have an opening deposit* of $5.00 or more
• Sign up for Granite Online so you and your child can log on at anytime to see the savings grow

It's that simple! You'll receive a starter kit with deposit and withdrawal slips for your transactions.

Easy access to your funds; make unlimited withdrawals and transfers—in person, by mail, or at any of our automatic teller machines.

Receive up to six transfers or withdrawals made to another account or to a third party per calendar month. This includes preauthorized or automatic transfers; telephone, fax or SolidServiceLine; online banking, check, draft, debit card or any similar agreement.

Three withdrawals per calendar quarter are allowed with no transaction fee. You'll also receive quarterly statements showing interest earned daily and compounded quarterly.
