Bank of Granite uses Check Imaging to better service our
customers.
The check image system makes photographic images of checks
and deposits processed through the bank's data processing
center.
Charles Snipes, President and CEO of Bank of Granite, explains
the numerous benefits that check imaging provides to customers,
'Our customers' checking account statements will be better
organized and more convenient with the new format. Statements
and check images are printed on a laser printer making them
easier to read than before. Checks will now be returned to
customers on paper in numerical order. This will eliminate
the need for customers to sort their checks in order to balance
their accounts each month. All statements will be pre-punched
for easy insertion into a three-ring binder."
"This new technology should make it much easier for our customers
to locate a check when they need to. It also helps the bank
provide research information for customers on their accounts.
With the new technology, our customer sales and service representatives
can retrieve information for customers in an unbelievably
short time. Copies of checks or deposits can be faxed directly
to customers at home or work upon request," Snipes continued.
